Flowering Tube Onyx is a rare, beautiful mineral formation from Utah, known for its unique, flower-like patterns and colorful bands within tube-like structures, formed from calcite rather than typical quartz onyx, often used for jewelry and cabochons but tricky to work due to fracturing, requiring stabilization. HOWEVER; Some rare, high quality pieces do NOT require this! It is an extremely difficult material to work with, and extremely rare to have such high quality pieces that did not require any stabilization.

While "onyx" usually means quartz, this material is more like a stalactite, showcasing intricate designs in rich autumn colors, making it a prized find for gem cutters.
