Rhodochrosite

from Imuris, Sonora, Mexico

Formed in lusterious rhombahedron crystal formations, this locale offers rich salmon, baby pinks, and deep rose reds typically encase with a black maganese crust. Occasionally, metallic flecks of pyrite and hematite can be found, in addition to chrysocolla and quartz. 

Whether full faced or in a patchwork pattern, an intense shimmer and flash is present in this variety that just can't be beat and is unlike any other. There is not a lot of this material in existence, and so I only occasionally cut and release pieces like this.

This particular cab offers a baby pink color with patchwork quartz and black/brown maganese with directional flash (can only really be seen at angles).

Weighing approximately 13.455 cts and all natural.
